Meet Our Educational Program Coordinators
Educational Coordinators provide supplemental educational support resources to our Academic Coaches, via our educational online platform, www.pflconline.com. These supplemental educational support resources include but are not limited to: access to resources, advising support, student growth assessment, and parent mentorship.
Holistic Educational Learning Program (H.E.L.P.) Program
H.E.L.P. focuses on increasing student test scores in Math, Reading and Science through vocabulary building and retention, test-taking strategies and skills, as well as student motivation. Student learning is enriched by filling in academic gaps not mastered in order for them to be properly equipped for testing and higher-grade level rigor. Essential knowledge and skills are taught for each grade level.
Writer's Workshop Program
Middle SchoolWriting is such an essential part of our day-to-day lives. Whether it’s a casual email conversation between friends or drafting a professional cover letter and resume to send to potential employers, some form of writing will always be required to advance and succeed. Meet PFLC Writer’s Workshop Educational Coordinators who focus on Grammar, Basic rules of the English language, and The 5-Step Writing Process.
College & Career Prep Program
High SchoolPrimary Focus Learning Center® offers pre-college advising to high school students by supplementing the work of school guidance counselors. Because of the large student-to-counselor ratios at high schools, it makes it difficult for counselors to provide students with consistent individual assistance throughout their time in high school. Meet PFLC’s College and Career Prep Coordinators who focus on academic advising, college exploration, college course preparation, financial aid awareness, and organization/preparedness. All of these are essential for college enrollment and sustainability.
